MoSVY Reminds Royal Government’s Effort in Boosting Country Amid Pandemic

PHNOM PENH: The Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation Vong Sauth has reminded people of the Royal Government’s effort in boosting the country’s economy in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Minister was speaking during the inauguration ceremony of a library at Phnom Srok High School in Banteay Meanchey province on Monday. He has emphasized that it will be useful for the students’ development on their reading abilities.

It has been named as Yov Chhom Library which is a gift from Keo Piseth and his wife Phnom Srok. Minister Vong Sauth has alsomentioned that the library at Phnom Srok High School will help the education in the district as well as enhances students' reading habits to develop their ability to respond to today's advances.

The Yov Chhum Library offers hundreds of books from different fields, serving the reading and research of students as well as the general public. Yov Chhom Library is considered as one of the largest libraries of more than 800 schools in Banteay Meanchey province.

In addition, the Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation has reminded people that the Royal Government is doing its best to continue developing the country despite the pandemic that it is facing. He has emphasized on Cambodia's success in reopening the country after Cambodia successfully vaccinated the people, especially the provision of cash support to the poor people because of Covid-19 crisis. He has also added that Prime Minister Hun Sen has helped in all areas, especially the Royal Government’s cash support spending about $30 million per month.
